Salok — The closing couplet (Pavan guru, paani pita)

1 verses · Japji's six-line closing summation, recited at every Sikh prayer's end. Air the Guru, water the father, earth the mother; day and night the nurses in whose lap the world plays. Deeds are weighed in Dharma's court. The final word is not solitary attainment but shared liberation — many freed alongside.
