Raatee rutee thitee vaar. Pavan paanee agnee paataal. Tis vich dhartee thaap rakhee dharam saal. Tis vich jee-a jugat kay rang. Tin kay naam anayk anant. Karmee karmee ho-ay veechaar. Sachaa aap sachaa darbaar. Tithai sohan panch parvaan. Nadree karam pavai neesaan. Kach pakaa-ee othai paa-ay. Nanak ga-i-aa jaapai jaa-ay.
Nights, seasons, lunar days, weekdays — wind, water, fire, nether-regions. Within all this, the earth has been set as the Dharam-Saal — the temple-school of right action. Within it, beings of many ways and many colors. Their names are countless, endless. By deeds, by deeds, each is judged. The True One Himself, the True Court. There the Five Approved are radiant. By His grace and by one's deeds, the seal of acceptance is stamped. There the unripe and the ripe are sorted. Nanak says — only on going there is this known.
