Japji Sahib · Pauri 30

Bhugat gi-aan da-i-aa bhandaaran ghat ghat vaajahi naad. Aap naath naathee sabh jaa kee ridh sidh avraa saad. Sanjog vijog du-ay kaar chalaavahi laykhay aavahi bhaag. Aadays tisai aadays. Aad aneel anaad anaahat jug jug ayko vays.

Let divine knowledge be your food, compassion the steward who serves it — and in every heart the sacred Sound is already playing. He Himself is the Master; all are bound by Him; the yogic powers (riddhi-siddhi) are only distracting tastes. Union and separation both run their work; everyone's portion arrives by His accounting. Salutation, salutation to that One — primal, pure, without beginning, indestructible, in every age the same Form.
