Japji Sahib · Pauri 12

Suni-ai saraa gunaa kay gaah. Suni-ai saykh peer paatisaah. Suni-ai andhay paavahi raahu. Suni-ai haath hovai asgaahu. Nanak bhagtaa sadaa vigaas. Suni-ai dookh paap kaa naas.

By listening — one dives into oceans of virtue. By listening — one becomes a Sheikh, a Pir, an Emperor. By listening — the blind find the path. By listening — the unfathomable comes within reach. Nanak says — devotees are forever in bliss. By listening, pain and sin are destroyed.
