तदसंख्येयवासनाभिश्चित्रमपि परार्थं संहत्यकारित्वात्॥२४॥

tad asaṅkhyeyavāsanābhiś citram api parārthaṁ saṁhatyakāritvāt

Though variegated by innumerable vasanas, the mind exists for the sake of another — the purusha — because it acts in combination with other elements.
