Akkosaṃ vadhabandhañca, aduṭṭho yo titikkhati;Khantībalaṃ balānīkaṃ, tamahaṃ brūmi brāhmaṇaṃ.
Akkosam vadhabandhanca, aduttho yo titikkhati; Khantibalam balanikam, tamaham brumi brahmanam.
The one who endures abuse, beating, and imprisonment without anger — whose strength is patience, whose army is forbearance — him I call a brahmin.
