Dhammapada · 26.12

Kiṃ te jaṭāhi dummedha, kiṃ te ajinasāṭiyā;Abbhantaraṃ te gahanaṃ, bāhiraṃ parimajjasi.

Kim te jatahi dummedha, kim te ajinasatiya; Abbhantaram te gahanam, bahiram parimajjasi.

What use is your matted hair, foolish one, what use is your antelope-skin garment? Within you there is a tangle, but you only adorn the outside.
