Ye rāgarattānupatanti sotaṃ, sayaṃkataṃ makkaṭakova jālaṃ;Etampi chetvāna vajanti dhīrā, anapekkhino sabbadukkhaṃ pahāya.

Ye ragarattanupatanti sotam, sayamkatam makkatakova jalam; Etampi chetvana vajanti dhira, anapekkhino sabbadukkham pahaya.

Those inflamed by passion fall into the stream, like a spider into the web it has made itself. Having cut even this, the wise go forth, free of longing, having abandoned all suffering.
