Dhammapada · 24.3

Yo cetaṃ sahatī jammiṃ, taṇhaṃ loke duraccayaṃ;Sokā tamhā papatanti, udabinduva pokkharā.

Yo cetam sahati jammim, tanham loke duraccayam; Soka tamha papatanti, udabinduva pokkhara.

But whoever overcomes this base craving, hard-to-pass in the world — sorrows fall from him as water-drops slip off a lotus leaf.
