Manujassa pamattacārino, taṇhā vaḍḍhati māluvā viya;So plavati hurā huraṃ, phalamicchaṃva vanasmi vānaro.
Manujassa pamattacarino, tanha vaddhati maluva viya; So plavati hura huram, phalamicchamva vanasmi vanaro.
For the human being who lives heedlessly, craving grows like a creeper. He leaps from one life to the next, like a monkey in the forest looking for fruit.
