Dhammapada · 23.2

Dantaṃ nayanti samitiṃ, dantaṃ rājābhirūhati;Danto seṭṭho manussesu, yotivākyaṃ titikkhati.

Dantam nayanti samitim, dantam rajabhiruhati; Danto settho manussesu, yotivakyam titikkhati.

They take the tamed one to assemblies; the king mounts the tamed. Best among humans is the tamed — the one who endures abuse.
