Kuso yathā duggahito, hatthamevānukantati;Sāmaññaṃ dupparāmaṭṭhaṃ, nirayāyūpakaḍḍhati.

Kuso yatha duggahito, hatthamevanukantati; Samannam dupparamattham, nirayayupakaddhati.

As a blade of kusa grass wrongly held cuts the hand, so the spiritual life wrongly grasped drags one to hell.
