Dhammapada · 19.9

Na muṇḍakena samaṇo, abbato alikaṃ bhaṇaṃ;Icchālobhasamāpanno, samaṇo kiṃ bhavissati.

Na mundakena samano, abbato alikam bhanam; Icchalobhasamapanno, samano kim bhavissati.

One is not a recluse merely by a shaven head — if without vows, speaking lies, full of desire and greed. How shall such a one be a recluse?
