Na vākkaraṇamattena, vaṇṇapokkharatāya vā;Sādhurūpo naro hoti, issukī maccharī saṭho.

Na vakkaranamattena, vannapokkharataya va; Sadhurupo naro hoti, issuki macchari satho.

Not by fluent speech nor by a handsome appearance does a person become a good man, if he is envious, miserly, and deceitful.
