Yamhi saccañca dhammo ca, ahiṃsā saṃyamo damo;Sa ve vantamalo dhīro, thero iti pavuccati.

Yamhi saccanca dhammo ca, ahimsa samyamo damo; Sa ve vantamalo dhiro, thero iti pavuccati.

He in whom there is truth, Dhamma, non-harming, restraint, and self-taming — he, the wise one who has cast off stains — is truly called an elder.
