Yo ve uppatitaṃ kodhaṃ, rathaṃ bhantaṃva dhāraye;Tamahaṃ sārathiṃ brūmi, rasmiggāho itaro jano.

Yo ve uppatitam kodham, ratham bhantamva dharaye; Tamaham sarathim brumi, rasmiggaho itaro jano.

One who restrains arisen anger like a swerving chariot — that one I call the true charioteer. Others merely hold the reins.
