Dhammapada · 16.8

Taṇhāya jāyatī soko, taṇhāya jāyatī bhayaṃ;Taṇhāya vippamuttassa, natthi soko kuto bhayaṃ.

Tanhaya jayati soko, tanhaya jayati bhayam; Tanhaya vippamuttassa, natthi soko kuto bhayam.

From craving springs grief; from craving springs fear. For one wholly freed from craving, there is no grief — whence then fear?
