Dhammapada · 16.6

Ratiyā jāyatī soko, ratiyā jāyatī bhayaṃ;Ratiyā vippamuttassa, natthi soko kuto bhayaṃ.

Ratiya jayati soko, ratiya jayati bhayam; Ratiya vippamuttassa, natthi soko kuto bhayam.

From delight springs grief; from delight springs fear. For one wholly freed from delight, there is no grief — whence then fear?
