Na kahāpaṇavassena, titti kāmesu vijjati;Appassādā dukhā kāmā, iti viññāya paṇḍito.

Na kahapanavassena, titti kamesu vijjati; Appassada dukha kama, iti vinnaya pandito.

Not by a shower of gold coins is satisfaction in sense-pleasures found. Of little taste and fraught with suffering are sense-pleasures — knowing this, the wise person turns away.
