Attanā hi kataṃ pāpaṃ, attajaṃ attasambhavaṃ;Abhimatthati dummedhaṃ, vajiraṃvasmamayaṃ maṇiṃ.
Attana hi katam papam, attajam attasambhavam; Abhimatthati dummedham, vajiramvasmamayam manim.
Evil done by oneself, born of self, arisen from self — crushes the fool, as a diamond grinds a precious stone.
