Dhammapada · 12.4

Attā hi attano nātho, ko hi nātho paro siyā;Attanā hi sudantena, nāthaṃ labhati dullabhaṃ.

Atta hi attano natho, ko hi natho paro siya; Attana hi sudantena, natham labhati dullabham.

Self is the lord of self — what other lord could there be? Through self well-tamed one finds the lord rarely found.
