Attānameva paṭhamaṃ, patirūpe nivesaye;Athaññamanusāseyya, na kilisseyya paṇḍito.

Attanameva pathamam, patirupe nivesaye; Athannamanusaseyya, na kilisseyya pandito.

First, settle yourself in what is proper. Then instruct another — and the wise will not become defiled.
