Dhammapada · 10.5

Māvoca pharusaṃ kañci, vuttā paṭivadeyyu taṃ;Dukkhā hi sārambhakathā, paṭidaṇḍā phuseyyu taṃ.

Mavoca pharusam kanci, vutta pativadeyyu tam; Dukkha hi sarambhakatha, patidanda phuseyyu tam.

Speak harshly to no one; those spoken to may answer back. Painful is angry talk; blows in return may touch you.
