Vāṇijova bhayaṃ maggaṃ, appasattho mahaddhano;Visaṃ jīvitukāmova, pāpāni parivajjaye.

Vanijova bhayam maggam, appasattho mahaddhano; Visam jivitukamova, papani parivajjaye.

Like a merchant on a dangerous road with little caravan and great wealth, like one who wishes to live avoids poison — so one should avoid evils.
