Ovadeyyānusāseyya, asabbhā ca nivāraye;Satañhi so piyo hoti, asataṃ hoti appiyo.

Ovadeyyanusaseyya, asabbha ca nivaraye; Satanhi so piyo hoti, asatam hoti appiyo.

Let the wise one advise and instruct, and restrain others from what is ignoble. Dear to the good is such a person; displeasing to the bad.
