Dhammapada · 5.16

Aññā hi lābhūpanisā, aññā nibbānagāminī;Evametaṃ abhiññāya, bhikkhu buddhassa sāvako;Sakkāraṃ nābhinandeyya, vivekamanubrūhaye.

Anna hi labhupanisa, anna nibbanagamini; Evametam abhinnaya, bhikkhu buddhassa savako; Sakkaram nabhinandeyya, vivekamanubruhaye.

One is the path to worldly gain; another is the path to Nibbana. Understanding this clearly, the disciple of the Buddha should not delight in honors — but cultivate seclusion.
