Carantaṃ apare bāle, mittabhāvena saṃyutaṃ;Na so muñcati dukkhasmā, ahivisaṃva añjasaṃ.

Carantam apare bale, mittabhavena samyutam; Na so muncati dukkhasma, ahivisamva anjasam.

One who walks with fools, bound by friendship — they are not freed from suffering, as poison spreads through an ointment.
