Attā have jitaṃ seyyo, yā cāyaṃ itarā pajā;Attadantassa posassa, niccaṃ saññatacārino.
Atta have jitam seyyo, ya cayam itara paja; Attadantassa posassa, niccam sannatacarino.
Self-conquest is indeed better than conquering all others — for the self-tamed person, the one of constantly restrained conduct.
