Na pupphagandho paṭivātameti, na candanaṃ tagaramallikā vā;Satañca gandho paṭivātameti, sabbā disā sappuriso pavāyati.

Na pupphagandho pativatameti, na candanam tagaramallika va; Satanca gandho pativatameti, sabba disa sappuriso pavayati.

The scent of flowers does not travel against the wind — nor sandalwood, nor jasmine. But the scent of the virtuous travels even against the wind; the good person diffuses in every direction.
