Pupphāni heva pacinantaṃ, byāsattamanasaṃ naraṃ;Atittaññeva kāmesu, antako kurute vasaṃ.

Pupphani heva pacinantam, byasattamanasam naram; Atittanneva kamesu, antako kurute vasam.

As one plucks flowers with attached mind, never satisfied in sense-pleasures — death brings them under its sway.
