Sududdasaṃ sunipuṇaṃ, yatthakāmanipātinaṃ;Cittaṃ rakkhetha medhāvī, cittaṃ guttaṃ sukhāvahaṃ.

sududdasam sunipunam, yatthakama-nipatinam; cittam rakkhetha medhavi, cittam guttam sukhavaham.

Very hard to see, very subtle, alighting wherever it wishes — the mind. Let the wise guard it; a guarded mind brings happiness.
