Akkocchi maṃ avadhi maṃ, ajini maṃ ahāsi me;Ye ca taṃ nupanayhanti, veraṃ tesūpasammati.

Akkocchi mam avadhi mam, ajini mam ahasi me; Ye ca tam nupanayhanti, veram tesupasammati.

'He insulted me, he struck me, he defeated me, he robbed me' — in those who do not nurse such thoughts, hatred is appeased.
